Join us for our 29th Season!
Expand your musical horizons with Central Dakota Children’s Choir! Students in grades 3-12 (2026-27 school year) from public, private and home schools are invited to audition. Auditions are fun and engaging! No prepared pieces needed.

About Auditions
Everyone interested in joining Central Dakota Children’s Choir must audition. Auditions are with one or more of our directors. No previous vocal training, choral experience or the ability to read music is necessary to audition. Children do not need to prepare an audition song. During the audition, the director will lead a small group of children in singing – both as a group and possibly individually – “Are You Sleeping?” and some echo singing. The directors listen for the singer’s ability to match pitch, follow directions, sing with confidence and blend as a singer in the choir. Our directors make the process as fun and stress-free!
Things to Know
- Full season participation is a requirement. Season begins in August with choir camps. Weekly rehearsals run September through mid-May.
- Students will have a minimum of seven to ten performances per season.
- Tuition ranges from $45 to $70 a month – tuition assistance and scholarships available.
- Family and multiple choir discounts available.
- Thanks to generous community donors, Central Dakota Children’s Choir is able to provide need-based tuition assistance for qualifying families.
- Students in Kantorei (grades 7-9), Angelica (grades 9-12) & Cantus (grades 10-12) must be enrolled in their school choir, band or orchestra program.
